Here is a new version of PSPWrite the text editor for PSP.
It permits to edit even huge text file, in both dos and unix mode, using iso8859-1 (8bits) characters encoding. All iso8859-1 characters are present in the "Danzeff like" virtual keyboard.
The IR keyboard support is based on the work of Harald Fielker.
It has been developed on linux for Firmware 1.5 and 5.x-m33, and for the IR keyboard
part it has been tested using a Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard on PSP FAT.
What's new then in 1.2.1 ?
- Add read-only mode to use pspwrite as a book reader
- Fix issue with sleep mode (psp crash)
- Should now work properly with mp3 plugins
How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.
Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public license,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.

v1.2.1 doesn't work on m33-6 however 1.2.0 works fine...whatever was changed is causing the ir keyboard to no longer function
Another good update to an already incredible app.
Couple suggestions here, too, however.
- Option to remove the bottom line (position info). I, myself, like it, but I could imagine a few wanting it gone.
- Allowing spaces to be entered in filenames. I don't use them much, but it's a pain when I want to.
Also, like I mentioned in the PSPIRC post, backgrounds seem to dither some. Any idea why this is?
I think there is a glitch when trying to use this as an ebook reader. If I set the text size to 16x22 the width sets itself to 30 but the lowest value for wrapwidth is 50? Basically I want large text that fits inside the window without having to scroll horizontally, right now I don't think the settings allow for that.
Great little program though, I've been trying to find a decent ebook reader for the psp for quite some time. Hopefully this little bug can get fixed
I'm having trouble getting this to work with my ir keyboard. I have a targus universal ir keyboard. if you could get back to me with any suggestions, that would help me a lot.
