Saturday, December 23. 2006PSPGGO: GO Game for the PSP v1.03 (minor update)Hi All, Here is a new version of PSPGGo ! What's new in version 1.0.3 : - Support of SGF comments - New Game over handler : you can go back or save SGF file, even if the game is over, and you have to choose explicitly "new game" to restart a new game. - Bug fix How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file. For those who wonders how to play go ? here is a good site ! Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public license, read COPYING.txt file for more information about it. pspggo-v1.0.3.zip Special thanks to all PSPSDK and GNU-Go developpers. ** This should be the last release ... ** Enjoy, Zx. If you want to discuss on this homebrew, you can do it here : zx81's forum on dcemu network Trackbacks

zx81 you are in my debt!! I love Go to the point of actually purchasing the Japanese AI Go which is of course all in japanese which makes it kind of tough to play the game since I don't read the language.
Thank you thank you thank you for this release, I have 1.0 loaded and just downloaded this version. If you need any suggestions a long term goal might be an improved interface and the ability to telnet to any of the number of internet go servers. They use just telnet and a very well documented and robust protocol for the data format. You can get Go clients on just about every platform, I don't see why PSP should be excluded! thanx again, this is awsome! It depends on the firmware of your PSP. If you are in 1.5 you can put the content of the fw1.5 in your memory stick, and enjoy that game. If you are in 2.5 or 2.6 you have to install the eloader from noobz.eu, and put the content of the fw2.x in your memory stick.
If you are in 2.8, afaik you have to patch the EBOOT and install also eloader using tiff exploit. If you are in 3.x you can't play any homebrew, Zx Hi Shix13,
Thanks for your kind comment . For the network version i plan to do another homebrew dedicated to network go game (there is no need of AI when you play with friends on a server), but using the same kind of GUI. Take care, and merry Christmas, Zx Wow! This is looking great! Being able to take my SGFs around with me is an excellant tool and I'm sure a lot of other go players will find it helpful as well.
Hey Zx81, well done! Actually I am also porting gnugo, but to Nokia Series60 phones. It's quite difficult actually, though I finally got a game running on a real phone just today. Your version looks pretty compared to mine though. Anyway, I can appreciate the effort you did here. Congratulations!
hey, i have a request for you. could you perhaps make something so i can get on the kgs go server through my psp?
i would love that ^^ Hi,
Thanks for your comment. It could be a great feature, but not so easy to develop. When i will be in vacation may be . Zx Hello
I 'd like to do a suggestion. WHy don't you repaint the stones bigger for 9*9 or 13*13 games? In these games i can see an ugly gap between the stones. By the way, it's an excellent job. Thank you very much Hi Jose,
Thanks for your comment and your suggestion, i will do it in next release . (coming soon), Cheers, Zx First of all you need to have custom firmware installed on your PSP. There is many tutorials on psp web site that explain how to do it (depending on the firmware you've got already). PSPGGO can't be installed on official sony firmware .
After that, when you will have a 3.x-OE or 3.x-M33 custom firmware installed, then just copy the content of the fw15 archive in the psp/game150 folder, Zx Add Comment
