PSPWrite: A Text Editor for PSP v1.0.4

Hi All,

Here is a new version of PSPWrite the text editor for PSP

It permits to edit even huge text file, in both dos and unix mode, using iso8859-1 (8bits) characters encoding. All iso8859-1 characters are present in the "Danzeff like" virtual keyboard.

The IR keyboard support is based on the work of Harald Fielker (author of the PSP IR Keyboard Library) with a new patch from Craig to support Sprint PCS IR keyboard.

It has been developed on linux for Firmware 1.5 and 3.71-m33, and for the IR keyboard
part it has been tested using a Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard.

What's new then in 1.0.4 ?

- Add select/cut/copy/paste feature
- Text can be copied to clipboard and then copied to another/new file
(usefull to merge several files together).
- New files are now named using a unique id
(to prevent filename conflicts)
- New background image for file requester and help window

How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.

Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public license,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.

Hey ZX81. Remember me? I was the one who asked you if you could add the merge function to your App, but this is so much better than you very much an and I wish you a happy and healthy 200!.

Heh, I was already wondering why I couldn't type with Danzel's virtual keyboard, the selection mark also moved every time I touched the analog nub.

Nice that you fixed it

Hey! Very nice work. I've been using this since v1.0.2 and it's very useful. I'm very forgetful :b. I like the select/cut/copy/paste feature but it's kinda hard to remember which button is which. Would be mad if u could add a toolbar of some sort and we use the psp nub as a sort of 'mouse' to select those options. Also, would it be possible to put a ' in the default keypad rather than the | ? Maybe that's just a preference of mine though.

Anyways, keep up the good work!

Hey, I have spent months pouring over internet searches to find a Word Proccessor for PSP. I dont want to hack mine or put Custom Firmware onto it. So I was wondering if anyone could reccomend one for a PSP with 6.38 Firmware where I don't have to hack. PLEASE HELP !!

P.S, Could you also post instructions on how to Install it. Thank you.

Dosn't work on psp with latest firmware 6.60, looks like this project has been abandoned

I've been trying for hours to find a word processing program for PSP, and this is the first one I can understand (And has a working download button)! Great work!
