Friday, May 2. 2008PSPVNC : Portable VNC v1.2.8 (IR 3.80 & 3.90)Hi All, Here is a new release of Portable VNC, with IR keyboard working even with fw 3.80 and 3.90 (psp FAT only of course ...). For those for haven't seen previous versions, VNC let you access to your PC desktop from anywhere using a wifi connection. What's new in version 1.2.8 : + Fix issue with IR keyboard on cfw >= 3.80 + Add a readme file The IR keyboard support is based on the work of Harald Fielker and the Virtual keyboard is based on the Danzel code. PSPVNC has been written by NHD from TeamXos and it's based on the PalmOS VNC client. It is distributed under GNU licence, and sources are provided : pspvnc-v1.2.8-src.zip The IR keyboard part it has been tested using a Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard. pspvnc-v1.2.8-fw3x.zip pspvnc-v1.2.8-fw15.zip Enjoy, Zx. Thanks for the update dude, will there be any update able to access the Ultra VNC server with the MS Login setup on it?
Hi Paul,
I haven't tried pspvnc with windows for a while ... I've tested it only using my linux distrib, but i guess you can disable the ctrl-alt-del stuff on startup/login using regedit ... Zx Whats up ZX, just dropping by on your blog to say this is the best app for the psp by far!!!!!
Thanks for your hard work mate hi i just got the app and iam wondering where can i find the host name for my computer? my computer is running windows.
THanks in advance Hi,
Under your windows PC, Start -> Execute -> cmd.exe Then enter "ipconfig" and your IP will be displayed (something like 192.168.0.1), then use this IP address in pspvnc configuration menu, Zx k i found it but after i put it in a make a filename n selet windows it says canot connect error -1/111
The program works great, but the home button doesn't work. I don't mind reseting the psp to close it, but then it doesn't disconnect from the computer. I have to restart the program on the computer to be able to use it again. I am running CFW 3.90 M33-3 and I had the same problem with 3.72 M33-5, I have a psp slim. Is there any way to fix this?
any plans to include some sort of scaling feature? i know i can just change the resolution of the host computer but sometimes i just need to see if something pops up on the screen anywhere (like IM messages)
hey, i followed every tutorial i've seen step by step and i always get the
ConnectToTcpAddr: cannot connect error: -1 / 111 i don't know why this happen. i have tight vnc open, checked all ip addresses and everything. i know i have everything right. my computer keeps saying "windows - system error there is an ip address conflict with another system on the network" if you could help me, that would be amazing. please email me if you have any information on how to get this working for me. from what i seen, this looks like a good application. keep up the good work Hi,
"windows - system error there is an ip address conflict with another system on the network" means that another host (i guess your PSP) has got the same IP address as your PC. In this condition, pspvnc won't work ... (as any other network applications). I suggest you to configure properly your wireless conection. The 111 error message means that pspvnc failed to connect to your vnc server. So it might be due to a bad IP address or port number in your pspvnc configuration, or may be you didn't set any password (and you have to) Zx Hi,
Great app. I have a mouse problem. The host machine is a Mac. Connect, i can do everything, but the mouse is invisible... so i can't use, because the mouse is important. I try it with another host... Regards, Sidha Running Firmware Ver 3.80 I copied the files into the psp/game folder. Running the app gives me a black screen and then a 80020148 error (Game could not be started) what am I doing wrong?
I am now on CFW 4.01 M33-2 and I still get the same message 80020148 error (Game could not be started)
I had the same Problem (running CFW 5.00m33-6)my problem was that the portable VNC i had was for CFW 1.50 kernel. So i installed Dark Alex's LEDA legacy software Loader. (you would have to upgrade if you haven't already). Problem solved. it ran perfectly.
i need help! itried it but it keeps on giving me an error saying -1/116 or somethin i was on 5.00 m33 i used 3x ver then i downgraded to 3.90 m33-3 used 3x ver still no change! i did everything right from pc to psp and still an error! i am running on slim 3.90 M33-3
hey how u get it to work? i run 3.90 M33-3 slim and tight vnc 1.3.0 or somethin but i got it all setup from pc to psp and it just says -1/116 pls help ASAP!
i did! i followed everything and every tuts possible i even asked some of them but they didnt know! i also tried making a fake connection but instead of giving me something like not available it still gives me -1/116 i also enabled port forwarding this morning and it still didnt work... wat is error -1/116 and how do u fix it?
The 116 error id means pspvnc enter in timeout and never succeed to reach your vnc server.
Are your PC and your wireless network on the same LAN ? If not, your PC has may be only a default route to reach internet but no route to reach your wireless sub-lan where your PSP is connected ? Main reasons when pspvnc doesn't work are the following : - no wireless network configurated or bad routes configuration - vnc server not launched or not compatible with pspvnc - firewall on PC side that prevent any input connection on VNC ports from your PSP - wrong IP address settings or ports settings - wrong VNC password Have a look here : http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/archive/index.php/t-109779.html Zx Hi, Zx.
I am using 4.01 M33-2 with 1.50 addon. I have already installed TightVNC 1.2.9 as well as PortableVNC on my phat PSP. The problem I have is that I can get to the "Network Connections" screen. But, when I choose the network I created (with static IP), it displays "WiFi Connect" loading screen and in 2 seconds it kicks me back to "Network Connections". I already checked this connection I made by choosing it as my browser default choice. What is really driving me crazy is that I've already been able to get to "Add host" screen once (I think it was on my 2nd try), but could not complete the connection that time (it was v1.27 and as I was unsuccessful, I deleted it and installed v1.28 ). Now, I can't even get into that 'Add host' screen. Do you have any tip, hint or suggestion ? Thanks in advance. The script works great up until I log in. Once I type my password and hit start, the screen goes blank. My host pc acknowledges that my psp is connected to VNC, but my psp is just black with an active wifi led. No buttons work. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
