Tuesday, November 11. 2008PSPIRC: IRC Client for PSP v1.1.6Hi All, PSPIRC is a basic IRC client for the PSP (see Internet Relay Chat). What's new in this version ? - Finally fix issue with "Home -> Exit" ! - Add a built-in editor to edit commands & words list (command.txt and word.txt files) - Add eboot music from NeXuS ( see http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/nexus ) - Can now return back to Wifi menu (No need to restart pspirc to connect to another hotspot) - Bug fix in battery level display Credits and license : It is mainly based on the IRC engine written by Danzel and the user interface i wrote for PSPSSH. The IR keyboard support is based on the work of Harald Fielker. If you like previous Hookbott graphics you can still download them here : pspirc-skin.zip Big thanks to Delight1 for her graphics, help, support, ideas, comments etc ... This software is distributed under GNU V2 License, see GPLV2.txt file for all details and information about it. It has been developed on linux for Firmware 1.5 and 5.0-m33 (FAT & SLIM) and for the IR keyboard part it has been tested using a Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard. How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file. Download : pspirc-fw5x-v1.1.6.zip pspirc-fw15-v1.1.6.zip pspirc-src-v1.1.6.zip Enjoy, Zx If you want to discuss on this emulator, you can do it there : zx81's forum on dcemu network or zx81's forum on qj.net Trackbacks

Wow! I can believe you updated this! You added everything else that makes it a great working IRC client. Awesome job and thanks for the release!
Hmm...Had a day where my computer wouldn't work and had to use this. For some reason, typing is slow again compared to the previous version. o_O
Would it be possible to add in more scripting features?
It would be Very useful to have a 5Volt IRC bot to keep watch of my channel. Running a PC 24/7 ain't really cheap in the long run, so having a PSP do the job would be awesome. so, does this thing allow for triggers or anything like that? and, if so, how? cause i cant seem to get it to work.
it's a simple IRC client, many features are not implemented.
Have a look to the readme file for more explanations, ZX Hi,
You need a psp with a custom firmware installed (for example 5.0-m33), and then to put this homebrew in psp/game5xx. For more details i suggest you to have a look to the readme file, Zx I'm finally using this again. I must say, ZX, this is quite a nice client.
I have two suggestions, though: - Color changing, similar to mIRC's. Custom colors and setting the color for events would be nice. - /me support. Seeing "ACTION action goes here" looks silly. I've also wondered why backgrounds dither weirdly in your apps, such as this and PSPWrite. They seem far less colorful than they do in the XMB. Works great on 5.50 GEN. It would be great to be able to use the virtual keyboard Sony uses or at least to be able to adjust deadzones on yours. Thanks for the great work.
